Verde Milwaukee, WI GIS# 2058 Looking for a new home since 5/27/09 Iguana age: 8 years old Gender: Unknown Reason for new needing a new home: Since I've been out of high school, I haven't had enough time for Verde. My family has been taking care of him/her while I've been in college and traveling abroad, etc. I recently got married and just found out that I'm pregnant, so I really will not have the time or resources to give Verde the proper love and attention. I'm hoping he/she can be placed in a good home. Vet care and health history: No vet care up to this point, but I will be taking Verde this week to have his/her tail checked out. There was a sore that developed into an infection and I think part of the tail may have to be amputated. I don't have the money for all of the expenses but I'm going to try to make him/her more comfortable for now... Diet: Green/red leaf lettuce, assortment of frozen veggies, supplemental pellets, mangoes, carrots, bananas and other fruits. Habitat and living conditions: Homemade cage; 6ft tall, 3ft wide and deep with shelves and enclosed by wire. Temperament: Mostly calm but also very curious and likes attention. No problems with other animals; we have a cat and dog at our house. Handling: Moderate amount... a lot more when younger and has become a little skittish when frightened, but used to human contact. House broken: Yes House breaking details: Verde ALWAYS uses the water dish as a litter box, if you will; so there are usually two water dishes in cage.
