Bandit- Thornville, Ohio Looking for a home since Aug. 2009 Iguana age: 4 years acquired Nov 05 STL: about 48" Gender: Male Reason for new needing a new home: We have rescued too many and need to downsize. Spouse was laid off from job. Vet care and health history: Self inflicted bite to hand. Bruised shoulder. Everything has healed well. An inch or so of his tail tip never had re-growth. Diet: Collard greens, mustard greens, dandelion greens, turnip greens, radichhio, escarole, endive, butternut/acorn squash, parsnips, yams, green beans, snow peas, snap peas. Watermelon for treats 2-3 times a week. Once in a long while substitute items such a kale, mango, etc. He eats a lot! Habitat and living conditions: Bandit is in a 5'tall x 5' long x 3' deep cagesbydesign.com cage which is too small for him now- needs longer cage at least. Reptisun 10.0 UVB tubes(2 4ft). Heat lamp, CHE on thermostat. Humidifier and plastic tub. Temperament: Bandit is aggressive. He might tame some with more attention and time devoted to just him. He might seem mellow until he is familiar with his territory. Handling: Bandit is handled every day. He gets a bath every day. House broken: No House breaking details: But he will go in the bath tub. He could probably be trained if someone had time to devote to him. Anything included with iguana: yes Included with iguana: Water and food dishes Other information: We really enjoy Bandit but we just do not have the time that he needs to be devoted to him. He is used to visually seeing our other iguanas, both male and female. None of our iguanas have ever been housed together.
