Izzy
GIS #2079
Ramsey, IN
Looking for a new home since 8/29/09
Iguana age: 5 years old got him 4 years ago
STL: about 4 feet
Gender: Male
Reason for new needing a new home: It lives in our high school agricultural department and we no longer have the equipmet necessary to harbor such a large iguana. People have also been pestering it some which is not good for the iguana. it needs a home with someone who knows how to take care of it.
Vet care and health history: Izzy has no known health problems.
Diet: It has been fed a variety of fruits and vegetables that our cafateria won't use in food like good scraps of lettuce or pre=packaged mixed salad along with garden grown kale, chopped carrots, strawberries (loves those), grapes, blueberries, etc.
Habitat and living conditions: The iguana is living in a very large enclosure at the moment. It is 6 ft. tall and 4 feet wide PVC frame with rubber coated wire fencing to enclose it. The iguana also has a heat lamp that it lays on and a few other things to climb around on.
Temperament: Izzy has become somewhat tempermental this year either from the kids pestering him or from not being handled much.
Handling: not very much. I work with him when I can myself as I am in our agricultural department a lot and am the only one who is not scared of Izzy. Even then he is not handled very much.
House broken: No
Willing to ship iguana: No
Other information: I am not selling Izzy. I just want to find Izzy a home where he is not pestered by kids and the person knows how to take care of such a large iguana and has the equipment to do so.
