Buddy
GIS #2082
Claremont, CA
Looking for a new home since 9/3/09
Iguana age: approx. 10years old
STL: 31/2"-4"
Gender: Male
Reason for new needing a new home: My husband and I can no longer properly care for Buddy. We love him very much and believe there is someone out there who can give him the attention, love and care that he needs.
Vet care and health history: When Buddy was about 2-3 years old he suffered metobolic bone desease. We nursed him back to health but it left his mouth slightly uneven.
Diet: He eats lettuce called "Country Greens" which is a mixture of Collard Greens, Mustard Greens and Turnip Greens, a little bit of "Fiesta Frozen Vegetables", defrosted consisting of broccoli, carrots,Italian-Style beans, small white beans, dark red kidney beans, garbanzo beans & diced red bell peppers, grated acorn squash and spray "Flukers" liquid vitamins. This was all recomended to us by his doctor.
Habitat and living conditions: He lives in a big wooden and mesh cage that my husband built for him approx 40" by 60", with a heater, floresent light, small pool, shelf up top.
Temperament: He is very sweet, he likes to be held with his feet on something, not dangeling in the air, he likes to be stroked, he likes to be talked to gently, he is shy, sweet and very loving, he likes to be on your chest, cuddled.
Handling: Not enough
House broken: No
Included with iguana: cage, dish, everything we have.
Willing to ship iguana: no
Other information: I want Buddy to go to someone who knows how to care for an Iguana, his time to spend with him, knows how to handle him and take care of him, not someone who just thinks they want to have an Iguana. When we got Buddy we had no idea what was involved. I would like Buddy to go to someone loving, someone who loves Iguanas and is experienced with them. I want Buddy to be loved and happy.
