Bubba, GIS #2096 - Rancho Santa Margarita, Ca
Iguana age: 5 yrs
Gender: Male
Reason for new needing a new home: I recently found out that I am going to be having a baby and will not have the room that my iguana deserves and needs.
Vet care and health history: No veterinary care was ever given and there are no health problems.
Diet: Collard greens, endive, mustard greens,,snap peas, and dandelion greens daily. Butternut squash, cilantro, apples, bananas, strawberries, and blackberries every other week.
Habitat and living conditions: Right now Bubba is in a 3 1/2' wide, 3' deep, and 4' tall metal cage that has branches in it for climbing. His lamp is a UVA and UVB light that hangs over his bathing spot. I was planning on building him a much larger enclosure, but with the baby on it's way, I do not have the room or money to do that.
Temperament: He is very active and loves to walk around the house. I have a dog that loves to play and bark at him and he is very gentle and has never attempted to whip or bite her, he is a very good boy and loves to snuggle in soft pillows, stuffed animals, and blankets. The only time he is ever aggressive is when I hand feed him fruit. He really likes fruit and bright colors from fruits get his attention as well. He loves to lick people and get thier smell, and he usually gets carried away and will SLOWLY attempt to nibble on you, but he knows that when he does that and is pushed away, it's wrong and walks away.
Handling: He has been handled alot, he like to be held or rides on shoulders or on my head. He can not be taken outside, even with the harness on, he gets very wild in the sun and tries to run or jump away. He is quick and will even do the alligator roll to get out of your hands. Bubba does like to be put in the bath tub though, he loves to soak and swim around.
House broken: No
Anything included with iguana: yes
Included with iguana: Bubba is in a 3 1/2' wide, 3' deep, and 4' tall metal cage that has branches in it for climbing. His lamp is a UVA and UVB lamp that hangs over his bathing spot. All of this is included. He does need a bigger cage right away.
