Back in 1988 I was one of the last persons to see Amber Potts. We were young girls working the streets in Toronto, Canada. To this day I am haunted by her face. Amber had a pimp, but she always stay in touch with her mother no matter what was going on in her life. My heart says she my still may be alive, but my head knows differently. The last night I saw here was a Monday, the 24th or 25th of November, 1988. I remember her face so vividly, she looked scared. |I have always felt that the people in her immediate world at the time were responsible for her disapperance. There has been a reporter at the Toronto Sun (in Toronto, Canada) who has written about her disapperance a couple times. There is also file on Amber Potts with Child Find Canada. If anyone knows what happen to her please sent me an e-mail or contact Child Find Canada. Over the years I become an activist for violence prevention against sex workers. So many missing and murdered women, I can not begin to describe the pain that these family exprience because their daughters have been labelled as not worthy of our sympathy because they some how caused what happened to them. Atfer the pig farm in British Columbia,Canada we owe those woman in sex work who have gone missing and are murdered better. They are our daughters, sisters, mothers, and friends. Drug addicted or not we should never discriminate the level of compassion we have for these woman. Anastasia Kuzyk for the Sex Workers' Alliance of Toronto
