Blood test 2012 - 18 (tTG IGA) so over the 'normal' range. Biopsy states 'inflammation of the small intestine' not enough to diagnose CD. Consultant said I have 'wheat sensitive IBS' but if I can cope with symptoms no reason to go GF.
So I didn't. I carried on eating gluten.
Fast forward; in 2016 I had 2 miscarriages. I did some research, decided to go fully GF when I discovered I was pregnant again (I had read there was a link between gluten and miscarriage). I had my baby boy in February 2017. Once he was born I went crazy on the gluten. Then I developed a very weird rash all over my body! Tests were all negative. Again, did my research and discovered 'dermatitis herpetiformis' theory shunned by the 'professionals'.
So for weeks I've been eating gluten, literally stuffing my face. I feel sick, nauseated all the time, shattered, blurred vision, dizzy and generally unwell. Told it's because I have a baby!!
Soooo, I pushed for another CD blood test and low and behold; tTG IGA = 54!!!
Now I've gotta have ANOTHER biopsy!
I feel let down!!
It's looking likely I have CD isn't it?
