Is a voucher scheme not in place in Ireland? One advantage of the prescription scheme via pharmacies is that people in remote locations can always access GF bread. It also means that finding empty bread shelves in shops or supermarkets is not a problem and that dietary compliance is more likely for the waverers. I know one coeliac who regularly ventures off piste.
Just checked re Irish Republic. It's a PAYE REIMBURSEMENT scheme. https://www.coeliac.ie/live-gluten-free/financial-support/
. Just thought you might like to know what other options are out there.
