Yes I would welcome a voucher type scheme in prefernce to prescriptions via GP. In most situations I can imagine it would be easier for people, but some extra allowance would need to be made to allow for reduced/ free delivery to remote areas for those unable to access shops as easily as most of us can.
A card like a pre pay prescription that gave discount at till to bring price in line with normal items would be useful.
It's unlikely to be abused too much as who would want to borrow your gluten free discount card in reality!?
And if it had a set limit in relation to the guidelines as they currently stand it would be appropriate to each situation.
It may also mean shops would stock better if they had repeat business rather than us going via GP.
I would suggest bread, flour, pasta and crackers are the only items we really need.
