Hi. I wondered if anyone could offer any advise on this. About 2 years ago I started suffering from what I believed were IBS symptoms. Without going into detail I'm sure you're aware of what those are. I noticed eventually about a year in that my symptoms got worse when I was having pasta at lunch. Stupidly before looking into anything I cut pasta out and felt slightly better but then still noticed the symptoms so decided to try some wheat free options and see if that helped. Within 24 hours I noticed the difference so this then led to trying gluten free and I haven't had symptoms since (1year) .That is until recently when I've started having some of the symptoms again even though I'm not eating gluten at all. I decided to do a little experiment at the weekend and try eat some to see my reaction, thinking maybe it's not gluten maybe it's something else. I have been so ill all week since. However I do want to get to the bottom of what is wrong with me as I'm still getting symptoms without gluten.
What I'm asking is do you think it's worth putting myself through 6 weeks of eating gluten to get a proper diagnosis even though I'm pretty sure gluten is my issue?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!!
