Diverticulitis and Coeliac
Posted by Lynda Crawford on 30/7/2017, 19:56:28
I have recently been diagnosed with Coeliac disease with my tests showing I was 98% genetically predisposed, which makes me think I have had this disease undiagnosed for all my life.
I am now 66 years of age and have suffered with stomach problems as long as I can remember.
6 years ago, I was living in Australia and was hospitalised as an emergency with diverticulitis resulting in removal of 40% of my small bowel.
So, if I have had Coeliac disease for all my life, could that have caused my diverticulitis?
Thank you in advance.
