Many thanks for taking an interest in me. Your advice is really sound and I understand I would need to be on a gluten diet for six weeks before an endoscopy. I will say that I am more suspicious of a gluten intolerance than actually having the much worse CD. On average, I am sick or have nausea about once a week. However, I can go longer. Last week in was three days in a row. There really is no pattern. I have just started the gluten free regime on Friday gone and have been okay so far. I am going to try it for a couple of weeks to see if the improvement continues and I will take it from there. If the symptoms go away, I will be happy at that without having to go through and endoscopy again. The experience is worse than a joint replacement, albeit shorter lived. I think my GP will refer me if I insist.
Regarding ankle replacements, I am very happy to answer any questions you may have. All in all, from a pain and mobility point of view, my ankle replacement has been a huge success. If you wish to take this subject off the CD forum, you can always email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I am always happy to help and I thank you for yours as you have given me a greater awareness of the problem.
