Re: Normal result - still possible to have CD?

My son who is 23 has recently had a second endoscopy - the last one in 2012 was apparently negative.
His new consultant takes the view that people with high levels of antibodies in their blood tests are very likely to develop the disease at some stage in the future and that it might be worthwhile to start a gluten free diet anyway.
As I've been diagnosed since 1998 going gf for my son wouldn't be entirely new, though we are going to wait for the results of the biopsies before making a decision.
Has anyone else encountered a member of the medical profession with a similar viewpoint?
