Thanks for the reply. I didnt have any idea how much it costs the NHS for the 8 loaves of bread I order a month. It really is ridiculous that an organisation who should have the power to dictate what prices it pays for these goods is actually paying over the odds for them.
It wont be just GF foods that are higher in price it will be across the board. It is a shame that someone who has the business nous hasnt looked at all of the waste sooner and done something about it all before now.
Last year I saw a specialist and had to have some insoles from the NHS as my feet were aching, she told me i was only allowed one pair on the NHS and would have to buy my own if I need anymore, I looked online for the prices and they were about £60, Lidl sell something very similar for £5.
I hope that CUK does campaign for cheaper supermarket prices etc as it is going to be very difficult for working families who have more than one person who needs GF food
