Re: Has anyone improved their DexaScan results?

I was diagnosed with CD in my early 50s and also had to have my ovaries removed (menopausal by then but that was a sudden cut off). My initial Dexa was fine but three years later, osteopenic. I now take tibolone (HRT licensed for bone health) and calcium and vit D (recommended by GP but not prescribed. I exercise - mainly walking but some vigorous classes. I have had one recent fracture. My GP and I have agreed that when I reach 60 I will stop the tibolone, have my next Dexa and almost certainly start biphosphonates. Which I am dreading. I feel that osteoporosis will be the death of me and curse the GP who fobbed me off in my 30s when I told him that occasionally some foods 'went straight through me' and he said 'don't eat those foods then.'
