I am 46 and so far have had nothing really serious go wrong with my body (I am certain there is underlying inflammtion in my body and it's not perfect and will likely eventually be an Achilles Heel for me but for now I'm fine) but have been in and out of hospital from time to time.
Now, that combined with other people's experience close to me with a variety of problems (some far more serious), I have come to the conclusion that the NHS is often poor (and cost cutting in even the last 5 years has been demonstrative e.g. tubes of Elocon DH cream used to literally be 3 times the size, on script) BUT when someone has something REALLY serious they do "get their finger out" and do what needs to be done.
