This amazing, intact old mill village has amazing buildings and galleries including an entire one dedicated to David Hockney. There is a wonderful bookshop and a home department with designer home products. It has a large restaurant called Salt's Diner which is able to cater well for GF. Fries are off limits due to shared oil but they can substitute other sides and they offer GF rolls. Staff were knowledgable too and happy to check with the chefs if needed.
In the adjoining Roberts park there is the small community run Half Moon cafe which also caters for us. They had at least three lovely homemade traybakes, all high quality. Overall the village offers much for a really interesting full day out with the added benefit of gluten free options.
