Re: Gf prescriptions
Thanks for the reply. The financial side of losing prescriptions is bad enough. But the more annoying thing is the GF products that are/were available on prescription were specially formulated for Coeliacs with added vitamins and minerals that we miss out on due to the GF diet. Also these products are made in special factory's where no cross contamination could occur. I'm not so sure the supermarkets will add these extra vitamins/minerals or will be as strict with cross contamination?
Almost 3 years later I still have health problems that started after the Genius contamination. Cuk were not very supportive to Coeliac's that week.
I have long term health problems despite sticking to the GF diet since day 1 , I dread to think how much it will cost the hospitals in the future to treat all the Coeliac's who can't afford to stay GF
I know the argument is eat natural foods like meat and fish etc but these foods are not cheap and rice and potato are not gonna give us all the nutrition needed.
I'm disappointed in the fight of cuk just as much as I'm disappointed in the nhs and the lack of understanding of CD.
