I second all that Karen Essex says, postcode lottery on help with foods, talk to the consultant again, etc etc
Good idea to have a list of questions, and a list of incidents!!
Also perhaps have a clear idea of what you want - a definite diagnosis may not be essential to get prescriptions - it's entirely at the doctor's discretion. But perhaps it is more important to get the proper medical care, i.e. dietitian referral and follow up appointments??
(Some of my relatives had no follow up appointments - but I think with children they may be more careful.)
