Just a thought - try adding some cooked chicken, or beef, or sliced cooked Viennas, with an added teaspoon of wholegrain mustard to the mayo. Or try with some added tuna, with finely sliced red onion, mixed olives (halved), cherry tomatoes (halved), and a gherkin (or cornichons) chopped before adding the mayonnaise (to which you can add some herbs such as origano).
The pasta salad needs to sing with lots of notes - a few ingredients may not give the right tuna!
Keep experimenting and Bon Appetit!
