Re: Tesco GF Apple Pie
I've contacted Tesco and got a reply today. They said this: "At Tesco we strive to achieve and maintain extremely high standards across our entire customer shopping experience and I am sorry that it appears we may have not met these standards on this occasion." I replied that they had not tried hard enough and that the product shouldn't have been given space in their freezers. I said that I expect these pies will remain in their freezers for other unsuspecting coeliacs to fall foul of. I also offered to give them tips on how to make decent, edible pastry. As suggested by Sue, I asked if they had tasting panels before new products are launched. There was no reply to this so asked it again. I said that it seemed that this poor quality was deemed good enough for coeliacs and stressed that we like to eat tasty food just the same as the general population. I await their reply.
