(Also had my son home from uni to feed, and meat joints were mysteriously cheap, I think it's something to do with Brexit)
Christmas holiday meals:
1.Roast turkey and loads of veg, home made gravy
2.turkey and veg curry with coconut milk
3.slow roast lamb with italian style caulifower
4.shepherds pie with leftover roast lamb, carrots and celery
5.another roast turkey (reduced to £4 in Waitrose so had to be purchased)
6. another turkey and veg curry, madras sauce this time
8. roast lamb (again) with veg
9. leftover lamb with spicy red cabbage
10. roast beef
The veg included red cabbage, lots of cauliflower, carrots, kale, sprouts of course, parsnips, green cabbage.
Also loads of cheese, brie, blue, gouda etc etc, all good for my osteoporosis, including a baked camembert from coop, plus a lovely tin of olives stuffed with anchovies from Waitrose
Now will be going back to the soup diet: curried parsnip soup, butternut squash soup, whatever's in the veg box soup.
