Hmm, I went there and had a look. Actually I've been there a coupple of times, and the pictures don't do anything for me. But perhaps I'm not being objective. Before anyone have a chance to get a look on the paintings, you spend a lot of words, long and difficult words, explaining the viewer what it is he is seing. I don't like that! It makes me suspicious, that this is 'the emperours new clothes'. I think art should speak for itself. Leave it to the eye of the beholder. Where would the mystery of Mona Lisa be, if Leonardo had added a note to the painting, saying: " Well, it's not a smile really, it's more an expression of pain, because she had hemorrhoids and had been modelling for 8 hours"?Besides that, the pictures are very small, and they are paintings copied on a computer screen. No doubt watching them for real in the right size, would be a different experience. Perhaps that's why you felt the need to explain , what it is we are seing ;-) Tass --Previous Message-- : The "Dark" is not only music or : fashion. : It's also painting ! : : Have a look on : http://darkview.free.fr : : Give me your comment ! : LWO :
