    For you...

I love your wit. As per usual, you brighten an otherwise dark cloud and liven an otherwise dead corpse -- ack! This board, too.

I miss the olde days when I first found this board with Rogue and all. I try to pop in once and a while when I remember it still might exist, but there doesn't seem much left. Funny have even I, after making contact with you via e-mail, can't seem to stay in better contact but still. I truly wish I knew those in "the scene" such as yourself. Where ever they exist, that must remain in hiding and almost never venture out if ever. I'm partially to blame. I'd rather stay light years away from most humans. Even if I saw someone in a Death in June t-shirt, I fear reaching out for being knocked down by snobbery of some level. You can tell that I haven't had much luck with "the scene" when I do try.

I do keep up with the subculture fairly well -- mostly with music and slightly with the fashions due to limited funds in which to extend my closet. Am I truly bitter? No. I simply don't chose myself to become quite jaded as others in "the scene" make themselves to be. As stated, I've always recognized the differences between "the scene" and the subculture and rather liken to prefer the latter.

I have never garnered the same attention quite like I once did in my years of bleu hair, but I still do get hit on once in a bleu moon. It leaves me restless when I'm not allowed to be myself. However others wish to define it is not the matter.

    : "Young goths" . . . ?
    :
    : (sniffs air hungrily)
    :
    : "feed on their young!" . . . ?
    :
: As a school bus driver, I DO feed on their
: young, though maybe not quite in the sense
: that you meant it, however sarcastically.
    :
: It is easier, believe me, to make them
: believe you are playing along with their
: game, but to always keep in mind the rules
: that you alone determine to have meaning.

: What you believe, and how you act on it, is
    : all that matters.

: Then live the culture that you want. Do not
: let it die around you.

    : Oh, by the way . . .

    :
    : There is no pain
    : You are receeding
    : A distant ship's smoke
    : on the horizon . . .
    :
: Wow, a chance to throw in a few lines from
: Pink Floyd. God, it almost feels like old
    : times here.

: Where's Rogue when you need her?
