Emo/Goth teenagers Posted by Lindsay Wilson on 8/18/2008, 6:39 am 86.147.16.231 Sorry to bother you, but my daughter has been into the goth/emo look/scene for coming up to a year and I am more than happy for her to do this. However, she has recently had her hair dyed by her sister (300 miles away) and has not been getting a lot of flack from one of her so-called friends saying that Goths don't like it when the teenagers "copy their style" etc etc. Can you please give me some advice. My daughter is taking this with more maturity than I thought, but I would like to know how the Goths feel about the teenagers who are trying the goth/emo scene out for themselves. Do you mind them dressing as you do, or dying their hair etc - I'm guessing that you probably don't, but would like some concrete evidence before going back to this other girl. Many thanks for your help (slightly concerned parent of 15-year old).
