Moved "to the woods" Posted by Old Grey on 4/7/2009, 4:10 pm 98.183.136.2 Now that the kids are all grown up and moved out on their own, my wife and I decided to downsize from a four-bedroom two-story to a smaller, one-story house. We are only about one mile away from the old house, but in another world entirely. The new house backs onto a small creek that forms a marsh which is next to a three-way crossroads just around the corner from us. Yes, a "real" crossroads. Between us and the creek is a wooded area -- mostly oaks -- and, as the trees are to our east, we can watch the sun rise through a woodland mist and fog. Need I say anything about drawing down the moon? She and her stars get aught in our tree-tops almost every night! Life is grand . . . and more than a little bit "gothy"!
