    That is often the case, as with other subcultures and non-mainstream passions such as with sci-fi fans and gamers. The media tends to fuel these things and people are more willing to believe the papers than to do some research of their own. For example this growing belief that playing video/computer games is automatically an unhealthy way to relax (as in mentally unhealthy not the obvious you're not running round and exercising unhealthy).
