It doesn't just rot your brain. That's only a side-effect of its true purpose, which is so terrible I don't even want to type it out. All I'm going to say is.. Ever seen Soylent Green? Yeah, that's NOTHING.
Oh, and ever wonder why you can't delete your profile? Because it's an incredibly shitty page design, you say? Nope. Mind-control, I tell you. Think about it - what else are you no longer able to do since you joined?

Que more serious rant: The whole concept behind Facebook is more or less "Now you no longer have the hassle of having to phone or visit your friends to know what's going on in their lives! Just check their update status! Social relationships have never been easier - the entire process of making friends is PAST! Just add them to a list with one simple click, and that's it! And they're just as easily gotten rid of!
And no more flipping through phonebooks, long drives across the country and having to stand outside in the cold, peeking through curtains when you want to know what that girl you knew 20 years ago in high school is up to! Just type in her name, and you'll know all about her relationship status and where she works! Don't like the look of that handsome co-worker she's got on her friends list? No worries, all of his personal information is right here for your benefit, too!"
Anybody wants to speak to me they can damn well take the time to call, visit or write an e-mail. /End of rant.
