Dear Green Iguana Society visitors and participants,
The Green Iguana Society online site and message board has been managed by a small group of volunteers for many years. These volunteers perform important site tasks including listing iguanas for adoption, receiving, screening and forwarding potential adopter information, monitoring the message board and answering requests for information through e-mail.
As the site continues to grow, so does the burden on the GIS Team.
Effective January 1, 2008, the Green Iguana Society Team will no longer respond directly to e-mailed iguana related questions. An auto-response will direct you to our main information site (http://www.greenigsociety.org/) and our message board (http://members2.boardhost.com/greenigsociety/).
As a replacement for this service we first ask that you research your topic on our main information site in order to assist you in answering your questions. Information contained on the main site is what the GIS Team has determined as the best, most accurate information. Then you are always welcome to post a message on our excellent message board where there are so many wonderful and experienced keepers who can actively answer your questions.
This decision is made in order to lessen the burden on the GIS Team volunteers, provide for multiple answers from experienced iguana keepers and allow for a better focus on the important tasks of listing iguanas for adoption and facilitating those adoptions.
The Green Iguana Society Team continues to dedicate itself to providing accurate, up-to-date iguana information in an informative and useful format.
As always, we thank our active participants for their knowledge and support and welcome new participants to take advantage of the sharing of information on our message board.
Sincerely,
The Green Iguana Society Team
