Does anyone spray for bugs?

I live in a rental house and I keep seeing spiders! I even killed a big gnarly looking centipede and found a couple of dead silver fish. I want my land lord to spray but don't know the skinny when it comes to my babies. Will I have to get them out of the house, or do they only spray the perimeter of the house?
