yep, let the little thing grow and love it. doesn't really matter except as things to do and expect. right now all it needs is your love and reassurance than you are its friend and not scary. be patient and show tiny bits of love--no kissing! wash hands afterward and keep cage really clean each day, but do things slowly around your little one. it will come to trust you and love you.
