I took in a couple of needy birds, a parakeet that's pretty sweet, but a territorial little gal, when she's in the cage she wants to bite, but when out of it, she's an absolute sweety. And a cockatiel that is disabled. She can't use perches or most bird toys at all, her feet and legs point in different directions, but neither in the RIGHT direction, one is pointing backwards, like it was broken at the knee and healed backwards and the other is locked in the pointed-straight-out-to-one-side position. She can sort of hobble around, but can't perch or do many bird sort of things. They are both sweet and so I've been taking care of them, getting them settled, trying to change their diet to something healthier than canary seed and sunflower seeds. Wishbone's base diet would be good for them, if they'd eat it! I'm switching them to a diet that's 70% bird pellets 20% fresh food and 10% seeds. It's going good so far.
Not only that but I met someone and we've been hanging out and I'm trying to get a job. I switched my ball python to frozen rats instead of live mice, which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I almost bought a giant goldfish to put with my current one in her 30 gallon aquarium, but didn't. I've been super busy! Lol, but if I wasn't, I would die of boredom.
Here's pics of the new birdies.
