Hold him close to your chest secure his feet and tail with both arms so there is no major swing action available. Just pick the iggy up like this a few times a day, rinse and repeat. I personally dont recommend an iguana that is uncomfortable with you on your shoulds/head.. That IMO might give your iguana ideas that it is the dominant one in the relationship.. Plus if the ig is a little jittery with you the are known to give a quick jab of the teeth at people and run. Its a defense mechanism.. My rhino iguana got me in the face years ago.. No long term scar but it could have been a lot worse.
