I have been doing a TON of reading. Before getting him I did about 2 weeks of homework on the internet. After purchasing him I also bought iguanas for dummies which I have read through once and green iguana, the ultimate owners manual.I started with a 10 gallon aquarim for about the first 2 weeks after getting him home. Built his current enclosure which seemed ok for a while but am now regreting wasting the money on. I am currently working on his new, final, habitat which will be 6'x6'x31/2'. I am using a bad substrate which I have been trying to stop using but it is currently the only thing keeping the humidity levels up. I have other ideas which I am experimenting with but so far Im strikin out. Yes I do give him comercial pellets. He rarely eats them but it is helping with the vitamins and what not. He is an extremely picky eater. I give him collard greens, mustard greens, squash, green beans, kale, lettuce at times and i extreme moderation, carrots. I have tried many different types of fruit but he rejects them all. Collard greens seem to be his favorite. If its on his dish he will pick through everything and only eat that. I do use a vitamin spray on his food every other day. As far as dehydration, I dont let the humidity fall below 50. Usually around 50-70. The pics are a little hazy since they were taken with a cell phone through glass. These pics were also in order from 4 months ago to last week. He has literally doubled in size and is beginning to shed again.
