Hello! I have a 7 year old female iguana who i have had since she was a baby. She had a cystotmy in april, when she was found to be egg bound (has never had issues laying before). She healed fine from it, but has refused to eat since her surgery. For the first two months post op, we were giving her baby food through a syringe at the direction of our vet. He reccomended we stop that since it seemed she was getting dependent on it. She will not eat on her own or if you try to feed her. She has taken very little interest in romaine lettuce with strawberries, but will not touch her traditional 'greens' (collards, dandelions, kales, chards ect). I have run out of ideas, we have tried making a 'smoothie' out of her food, the temp is where it should be, but we have tried raising it, and she has all new lights. Does anyone have any ideas for an appetite stimulant or feeding help?? Thank you so much, hate to see her suffering like this.
