If the leaves have no active ingredient, then they cannot stimulate appetite as does bud. I strongly hope you are really not willing to feed bud or leaves to Bismarck. BTW I know leaf has THC, because I've seen the water-clear crystals on them by looking through a loupe.
The human reaction to bud and leaf just absolutely have to be assumed to have different chemistry in an iguanas body, and cause unknown dangers of illness far down the road, or sooner.
Whenever anyone finds a way to feed liquid water to their iguana, it's a joyous miracle. Good job!
