so i bought a hatchling from petco around september of 2014, from the 2 weeks i had her i noticed she wasn't eating, so i was like okay this is a new baby nervous, scared; so i left her alone for awhile offering her greens and the veggies, she wouldn't eat much. as she would just lay on her branch. she had a basking light and 2 10.0 t5ho lights on her. (she was in a sliding door aquarium with screen top.) she still had no improvement on eating, so i took her to a reptile specialist, had her evaluated. she had protozoa, not just a little but was infested! so i took her back every two weeks for about 2 months for treatment. Everything cleared up. Mean while i bought a critter nation cage for her to have more room added two more t5 ho lights at 30" so she has now 4 t5 ho lights one ceramic heater, 1 basking bulb and a house bulb. she also has a monsoon mister that comes on every hour for 4secs that mists her. She lives like a queen! took her back in about 3 months ago for a fecal test to make sure everything was still clear and it was from parasites, but she had a small infection of yeast on her back legs (this was before the monsoon mister was bought)so i cleared it up and she is great now from everything! my concern now is that her growth isnt where it should be for her age, from snout to tail she is about 17" snout to vent is about 5.5" should i be concerned about this? or is this from her being so ill that the protozoa has effected her growth cycle a little. I believe she is right under a year old, but coming close to it. she does get repcal calcium and repcal vitamins on her food. Her diet is collard greens, mustard greens, turnips endive, bell peppers, green beans, yellow squash, kale sometimes to add in. strawberries, blueberries, bananas as a treat and i grow hibiscus so she munches on flowers at times when offered. she is a laid back iguana she moves around, loves going on the balcony on Saturdays and Sunday mornings to bask in the sun. I feel she should be bigger and more body mass for her age than what she is. please help me out, i feel like i'm dong everything right, Is there something i'm missing to do?? Any info would be much appreciated ..
