He has bit me once and whipped me a few times, and hates being picked up (just not used to everything yet).
However, today I was doing some home work and watching him crawl out of my bedroom and into my kitchen. I decided to investigate but noticed he hasn't eaten yet today, so gave him some mango slices that he took from me. At one point he stopped, and I gently brushed his nose with the slice. This guy almost instantly closed his eyes and relaxed. I put the slice down and kept petting his nose with my index finger. It got to the point where I could pet him anywhere and pick him up so long as I kept petting the top of his snout.
Why is this? I haven't been able to read anything about this and thought it was kind of interesting. Now I use it to calm him down, then when I'm petting his back, I stop brushing his nose so he wakes up and sees what I'm doing. He hasn't really fought me since. Any ideas on what's going on with this behavior?
