I am currently looking to acquire a larger lizard and Iguana's have always captivated me. I plan to re-purpose and old wooden and chicken wire enclosure and have the iguana live there. I am wondering is it ok to allow the Iguana to live outside permanently and if so, what special habitual needs to I need to fill if its going to live outside? I live in California's Central Valley: Summer's are around high 90's to low 100's, winters drop to about low 30's to 20's. The enclosure is near power outlets and hoses for misting and heating.
