Thank you for replying Brian. The behavior is definitely aggressive. He fluffs up, leans sideways and has charged and even jumped off of his cage at him. He does turn a beautiful shade of orange /amber. But again, he only does this at my husband regardless of what color clothes he is wearing. Today, I was holding Sobe (our Iguana). He was calm and docile. A half hour later, my husband walked in and Sobe charged him and jumped off the cage at him. We did put him in his habitat at that point. I have had Sobe for 5+ years and have seen him in breeding mode. This behavior has been recent though. Also, Sobe is unique. His diet and food decisions have always been different from any other iguana I have heard of. He does get an array of vegetables and leafy greens but he also likes meat. I feed my Australian Blue Tongue Skink Baby rats and Sobe insists that he gets one each time. Eating one once in awhile has never brought out this behavior though. Thank you for the tips in the event of a bite. Thankfully we haven't encountered that. But the info is good to know.
