One thing off the bat, Its breeding season, and a large percentage of males do become very VERY aggressive , some worse as the get older. This may be the issue with your boy.
During this time its important to keep both of you safe, even if that means locking him in a spare bathroom or covering his cage so he cant see anyone. Watch out for lights and fire hazards if you go that route.
Keep interaction to a minimum, try to put fresh food in late at night or early in the morning when the suns not out yet and while hes sleeping. Same for cleaning too. Its not convenient to feed and clean with a flashlight but it can be done.
