I knew we had a problem once I started paying attention to other peoples post and asking questions about breeding season.
My guess always seem to hit season between late summer and early fall, as did most peoples. By February I realized a lot of people were posting about being glad season was over. WHAT?? My guy was still tryng to chew my face off lol.
His name was Cedro and we had taken him in when he was 7 and was not in good health, he was also my first male so we were playing alot by ear. It was probably a over a yr of bad behavior before we admitted we had a problem :)
I would say the most notable difference was the appetite. They all seem to eat less during season. So did he.Once out of season he ate fine but was still a big ol' jerk :/
A few years back I put together this video with my personal theory as to why he bagaved the way he did, if you care to watch the video.
Each iguana is unique tho and the littlest change can set them off , and I have learned that they can hold a grudge.Ive also read that most dont hit maturity peak til age 6 or 7 so maybe you just got lucky the last few seasons ?
