I can't find to post an image but the cage is 3ft 4in square base and stands 7.5ft high. He use to free roam but because we moved and his slight territorial issue he was moved to the cage which he really seemed to enjoy. He would be regularly taken out to walk around the house but due to his aggression recently, I am not able to do that. I use to be able to carry him on my shoulder and he would lay on my chest sometimes and fall asleep.
I tried being dominate and he would back down a little bit (especially when I am holding him) but sometimes he would just ignore it. A few weeks ago I called a zookeeper to ask him about their iguana's behavior and they told me to not be aggressive to them because it only may lead to bad behavior back. So I would just hold him, feed, treat him, and put him back hoping it would soon blow over.
Very recently he was behaving himself when I went to get. The whole time I held him he didn't act aggressive, with only a few head-bobs hear and there. I thought it was maybe because he already eat that day. So the next day he eat and I even wear the same clothes but he acted aggressive. I am going to keep trying this out though.
I gave him a luv sock before but him just wants to tear it apart and because he has a snout injury, I can't allow that.
I really don't want to have to rehome him but each day that passes he takes that hope away. He seems to be calmer around females so if I have to I hope I can find a female owner.
