Hello, we have a green iguana named Zeus. I actually bought her for my kids. A teenage boy was selling her at a yard sale. He told us Zeus was a boy and would not get very big. Lesson learned folks. No need for the reprimands. When we got home we started doing research and discovered Zeus was in fact going to get quite large. We had already fallen in love with her so we adjusted. My husband built her a large enclosure. Free roaming isn't possible because we have 2 Sphynx cats. The enclosure is large and is heated properly. My daughters get her out and take her for walks and into their rooms. We've had her about 2.5 years now. My best guess is she's about 3 years old. She loves butternut squash and mango the most. We live in a smaller town and we don't have a lot of exotic pet vets. We found one with some experience and he told us Zeus was a girl. However I'm not sure I agree with that now. Zeus's femoral pores are huge, she has the 2 bulges on the head, she's turning orange, lots of white urates, restless behavior. I would love any opinions and they would be much appreciated. If she's entering breeding season I want to be prepared to help make her or him comfortable.
