Also when she around 10 she made a leap and miscalculated and ended up neck first on a rocking chair arm. I noticed a faint clicking like noise. Xrays showed nothing.
This year she has made two moves. Poor thing. Extremely stressful for Miss. Routine.
Last 6 months ive noticed the faint clicking noise. Especially after eating. Last year ive noticed she leaves her mouth slightly open. Two weeks ago her mouth was open more. When i grabbed her an excessive amount of salivia pooled from her mouth. Her breathing almost sounded like gasping. Originally suspected respiratory infection but no other symptoms noted. Noted another episode of sucking in air after eating about a week later. Possibly swollen throat?
Today similar to 2 weeks ago when i picked her up excessive salivia (pooled on my hand) and the clicking noise with what appears to be gasping. Once in the bath it seemed as if she couldn't take a deep breath. Symptoms subside and off to bed she went.
Appointment in 3 days. (In last move the nearest vet is retired and only sees reptiles Wednesday mornings. Her regular vet is 3 hours away. ).
Any ideas? My thoughts are renal failure (her urates did have hard masses in them twice in the last month). Maybe tumor?
Requesting blood panel and xrays in on Wednesday. Anyone think i should request more services? Less services?
Husbantry issues: last move unable to run humidity for 3 weeks. Daily baths given. Misted a few times a week.
I know what iguanas require for diet habitat etc... And she is provided with so.
