Thank you so much for your informative post. I think I can rule out breeding season – he moved past that, now he’s just downright aggressive. I sincerely hope it’s not due to his health. He seems healthy, tail is thick with fat and eats an astonishing amount of fresh collard/kale leaves. I think you are right, it might be a territory thing. He puffs himself up into a kind of bigger flat version of himself. Then he walks at an angle in ever closing circles around me. Sometime he even tries to jump off the refrigerator or bookshelf onto me and makes the kitchen his domain! And yes, you are right, as first priority, he needs to be restricted. I just don’t hope he won’t become unmanageable that way. I have to say, despite all his ‘shenanigans,’ I love him to death.
