It's a common misbehavior. Any change in his habitat, new people in the house, new human clothing (colors, or polka-dots) he doesn't like. So, it can be caused by the onset of a new kind of stress, or intestinal infection. We see comments like yours fairly often. He may respond positively if you raise the elevation of his cage, so your forehead is even with the cage's floor. It's well known they feel more secure high up.
If he has a narrow, tall cage, then set him up with a terrestrial habitat. That's counterintuitive, but it helps a lot. He'll get more exercise that way, and it will be possible to raise his cage.
