From Melissa Kaplan, we have the theory that all iguanas are tamable. But when they're grown they are too strong for most people to handle, and they get severely shredded in trying. I did rescues for a while and learned how to take the biting edge out of some really mean iguanas. But I had to suit up with Kevlar and a face shield to do it. The sole purpose of doing that was the hope that they could become more adoptable. In the end, my wife had to put a stop to all of my iguana involvement. I had really gone over the top.
