Recently our home was hit by Hurricane Matthew and we had a good deal of flooding in our home. We had to move to a hotel while contractors fix our downstairs areas and moved Athena upstairs. Today I went home to check on her, feed the snakes and other lizards and make sure everyone was adjusting. What I found was Athena completely submerged in her water tub, dark colored and almost torpid. I immediately thought the worst because she is my little green child. I took her out of the water, warmed her with a towel, and within a half hour she was back to her suspicious slightly aggressive self. Can anyone tell me why she might be doing this? She was originally on a stand but when we moved her to the bedroom her habitat was placed on the floor. She seemed to do better once I moved her to higher ground.
