During the holiday break last week I got to spend more time at home and I got to observe my son's iguana more than usual. She loves to lay on her shelf under her lights, but I was surprised to see how often she would leave the shelf and climb up and down her cage. I know she goes to the bottom to relieve herself once a day, but she did a fair amount of climbing, searching, exploring all throughout of the day.
Is this normal, healthy behavior? Or is this possibly a sign of distress? I don't have any idea how active or lethargic iguanas are in general, so I just want to be sure. By all accounts she appears healthy.
